BRING ME THE HORIZON, PARKWAY DRIVE, ARCHITECTS
PHOENIX CONCERT THEATRE, TORONTO / SEPT. 16
“We will never sleep, cause sleep is for the weak”. The line, off of BRING ME THE HORIZON’s “Diamonds Aren’t Forever” pretty much summed up the Sheffield five-piece’s recent gig in Toronto with PARKWAY DRIVE and ARCHITECTS. Any show with any affiliation to metal is bound to exceed expectations but these very performances put on by Oliver Sykes, Winston McCall, Sam Carter and their counterparts almost redesigned the perception of metalcore acts with visceral melodic explosions on-stage that sent young kids – and a group of 20-somethings – into a frenzy. The anticipation was immense but the damage was stimulating.
