Three LPs deep, Stuart McLamb and THE LOVE LANGUAGE have been consistent when it comes to wandering around the vibrant side of lo-fi. Following 2010’s Libraries, “Calm Down” is the first single off of the group’s new full-length for Merge Records and the song’s a head-turner, clashing indie chords with a heart-melting chorus. It’s the kind of sonic noise you’d expect from a veteran crew but the NC five-piece draw it out in the open and run with it.
