During one of the craziest weeks of the year for media, VINCE STAPLES “got his”. Earlier today, the Long Beach emcee released his latest project, titled Shyne Coldchain Vol. 2, and the mixtape is a natural blend of potent realism and fire. On one hand, it features guests vocals from the likes of Jhené Aiko and James Fauntleroy, and on the other, it’s decorated with production from No I.D. and Evidence & DJ Babu. It’s evidently nothing to sneeze at and it’s hard not to applaud the MC on its release in the midst of SXSW. As he noted, “S/o Tmobile for the hot spot capabilities”.
