This past Thursday (May 26th), Toronto’s PUP played a sold-out gig at the Phoenix and showed why it’s extremely difficult to ignore their new album The Dream Is Over. The nightcap was full of flailing bodies and sing-a-longs, and it never really hit a lull as the foursome Swanton Bomb-ed into a 16-song set that featured “DVP”, “Doubts”, “Guilt Trip”, “Lionheart”, “Cul-De-Sac”, and a dizzying rendition of Weezer’s “El Scorcho”. JEFF ROSENSTOCK helped kick things off and our photographer Matt Jumper was on hand to grab a few stills. Check out them out above.
PUP’s The Dream Is Over is out now on SideOneDummy/Royal Mountain; for a list of similar shows, check out CollectiveConcerts.com
