New York City’s own THE MEADOWS FESTIVAL rolled on with Saturday’s (Sep. 16th) events being a more casual spin through eras of hip-hop and indie rock. The weekender attracted its fair share of millennials and old rap heads, and it wasted no time in finding a groove with performances from Erykah Badu, Big Boi, Tory Lanez, TV On The Radio, BadBadNotGood, Jacob Banks, and Public Access TV. Elsewhere, Future brought out a few friends (Nicki Minaj, Young Thug); M.I.A. dished out a seven-song encore; and Gorillaz retraced their discography with a little bit of help from Pusha T, Little Simz, Jehnny Beth, and Del The Funky Homosapien. It was an earful to say the least but for a glimpse of the day ‘n’ nite that was, check out our photos below (via Maggie Elizabeth).
