Going Live: SXSW 2013 (Day Three)

Sore and delusional, we took on SXSW like any other SXSW-er not from Austin – we went for the jugular. Our limbs still hate everything to do with our existence but our ears couldn’t care less. From the alternative sprawl at Equal Vision’s showcase to WHITE LUNG’s eye-gouging punk to the FADER Fort’s all-star jam (featuring DISCLOSURE, FUTURE, T.I., TRAE, B.O.B, PHARRELL and more), Friday was some gnarly godsend we did not see coming.

That is until the night ahead explained that Austin was just on “some other shit” this time around. VICELAND was an absolute riot as the new wave of hip hop threatened to destroy, line after line and blunt after blunt. A$AP FERG and ACTION BRONSON served up NYC anthems from the blogosphere and even DANNY BROWN got malicious, tearing through numbers like “Witit” and the new “Kush Coma”, which he previewed before we set off for Vice Bar. Its main attraction was FALL OUT BOY, and while we hoped for a 2 Chainz cameo, the quartet set the bar on fire.
