Photo: Earl Sweatshirt at Moody Theater

Much like last year, OF’s EARL SWEATSHIRT kept it low key during South By Southwest as he ditched The Forts and Mass Appeal BBQs for a one-off at ACL Live at The Moody Theater (March 17th). The S.O.B.’s showcase featured the likes of K Camp and Lil Yachty, but as expected, it was all about Earl’s late night set. The 22-year-old showed up donning a Circus Liquor tee and some Catch A Fire dreads and he immediately went in, drifting through tracks like “Huey”, “Grief”, and “Swamp Vermin” — which dropped the line “I hug the wall like a mural” and shoryuken’d everyone’s face off. In other words, forget about Views; Earl’s third album is bound to send rap bloggers into a seizure. Check out our stills above via photographer Seita Goto.
