Who: The Swell Season
Where: Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Toronto
When: July 12 2010
When you undress music and reveal its skin, you find a natural and honest soul driven by happiness and torn by heartbreak. One act who consistently puts that soul on display is The Swell Season. Comprised of indie folk sweethearts Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, the group combines Damien Rice undertones with the same unmistakable chemistry that illuminated the film Once. Though their relationship is dying, their live performance is still holding on.
