Grunge was the best era of music, besides the late 60’s and early 70’s.

It killed hair metal, and produced Soundgarden and AIC, both whom rival Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

Soundgarden is most definitely the best rock band of this decade, even being absent for so long, Badmotorfinger & Superunknown are timeless. I don’t care for Chris’ solo or side projects but now that SG are back together I am stoked, he still has the best voice in rock.

I also hate the word grunge and it was only because both SG and AIC came from Seattle. Both are hard rock/metal bands and SG is a straight up stoner rock band, almost all songs are down tuned and have a slow groove.

Grung also inspired bands like Nickelback and Creed. So it can’t be the best era of music at all. The ends aren’t justifying the means here.
