More known for rocking an alt folk sound, Canadian five-man band CUFF THE DUKE have dropped the emotional tag that dealt with loss and highs and lows in favor for a cover of everyone’s favourite all-girl indie pop outfit. The recording of Dum Dum Girls’ Only In Dreams-cut “Always Looking’ masks the original’s death run of sweet pop, but the country touch makes it an entirely new song with more twang than fuzz. Now only if they threw in more cowbell.
