On their first night of a two-day stint at Toronto’s Lee Palace, LOS CAMPESINOS! hammered home their point of lyrical poetry and dance hooks leaving most… in pure awe. While Portland indie poppers PARENTHETICAL GIRLS opened, the seven-piece group accented their counterparts with a lighter take on tracks such as “Romance Is Boring” and “By Your Hand”. Singer Gareth Campesinos! hit his mark, carrying notes and projecting a delivery that defined one of the band’s best performances in the city, blowing past their last romp at Queen West’s Wrongbar.
