An unlikely combination, Danish pop outfit THE ASTEROIDS GALAXY TOUR and Kenny Vasoli’s (The Starting Line, Person L) new side-project VACATIONER took the stage with one intention: to entertain. While some of Toronto’s indie elite looked on, both groups fired up The Hoxton with Mette Lindeberg and co. sparking up body-swaying dance pop and Vasoli’s group kicking out electronic trip rock as tasty as their debut Gone EP. The venue’s acoustics weren’t exactly a form of justice, but the buzzing atmosphere – that went from speculative to ecstatic in no time at all – left some attendees speechless while others danced away, letting every beat sink in.
