Without speculation, THE HIVES return to Toronto was what everyone hoped for as the Swedish garage rockers embraced the Sound Academy with monochromatic swagger and enough hip tunes to transform the dockside venue into a house party. As west coast outfit FIDLAR drowned on-lookers with some serious tunes to get the heart racing, Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist and his fellow pioneers ignited their career’s catalogue and with microphone whips, flying drumsticks and guitar swinging, the night never lost it’s cool.

Just saw them on Saturday in Chicago. Great show as always. The Hives are in a league of their own. Fidlar was a nice surprise.
