There aren’t a lot of metal records that get the “anticipated” tag by an army of ageing critics but DEAFHEAVEN’s sophomore take is definitely being buzzed as a must-hear in 2013. The band’s single “Dream House” provides insight into why as the San Francisco quartet thrash through emotional shoegaze, scarring post-rock and mouth-splitting Deathwish punk.
