Vetiver no more, Portland’s PURE BATHING CULTURE are about to stain 2013’s collar with their debut record, and its lead single/opener, “Pendulum”, is a cruising glimmer of keyboard/guitar pop. Without fail, Sarah Versprille and Daniel Hindman acutely disfigure basic textures to deliver a number that’s as toxic as Slowdive but as intricate as a Memoryhouse demo.
