We’ve followed MOVING MOUNTAINS long enough to know that their material rarely disappoints. The New York four-piece are constantly coating post-rock/hardcore with various hues, and after Pneuma, Foreword, and Waves, the band seem to be revealing a new layer with their first self-titled effort (out September 10th on Triple Crown).
That’s where the Telegraph Sessions come in. Rather than become BFFs with major alternative publications, the group has chosen to show off their new Moving Mountains songs with live video excerpts that draw from popular series such as Nervous Energies and Live From The Basement. As a result, they capture some sublime moments as Gregory Dunn, Nicholas Pizzolato, Mitchell Lee and Josh Kirby keep things personal, allowing “Intro”, “Swing Set”, “Burn Pile”, “Hands” and “Seasonal” to do the talking.
