Going Live: Mumford And Sons, The Vaccines

Having closed out Montreal’s Osheaga festival with a heart twisting set, London’s MUMFORD AND SONS barely struggled to entertain 16,000 fans at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre on Monday (August 26th). Their so-called Gentlemen Of The Road tour sparked passionate folk romps, too-intimate-for-TV sing-a-longs, and covers of AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen that notably accented their original material. One of the night’s biggest highlights belonged to BEAR’S DEN and THE VACCINES who provided support and brandished more unique forms of English-bred alternative that kept everyone on their toes until the Mumfords turned a routine performance into a rare spectacle.
