Having previously rocked Tuscon, Denver, Baton Rouge, and Atlanta, FIDLAR and THE ORWELLS zoomed up from the south to play Toronto’s Hard Luck Bar, and subsequently, set the entire room on fire. Within seconds, dudes and dudettes flailed around and the sold-out crowd at hand was enough to convince both groups to ignite a spitfire of skull-numbing garage rock – tearing, crooning, and spinning through PBR-fueled gems and underdog favourites. For once, Canadians got a taste of what it’s like to see a show at The Echo (Los Angeles, CA), and while the night didn’t exactly feature a cameo from Nick Offerman, the hysteria was bittersweet.
