Watch: Nardwuar Interviews Diplo

Nardwuar And DiploDIPLO vs. NARDWUAR. The title says it all as the Human Serviette ushered in a pile of new facts to make this one of his more interesting, less-awkward one-on-ones. The two went toe-to-toe at the Contact Winter Music Festival and reminisced about Diplo’s origins, Miami bass, and the producer’s experience racing the Cornell track team. They also shed a little light on M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” which famously sampled The Clash’s 1982 cut “Straight To Hell” (not to mention Wreckx-N-Effect’s “Rump Shaker”). Check out the full interview below and stick it out until the very end.

ICYMI: Diplo and Major Lazer are prepping a new EP that will feature Pharrell, Sean Paul, and Elephant Man.
