Photos: Bishop Nehru, Tink at Adelaide Hall

Here’s a quality tip: never underestimate a Sound Select showcase. The folks at Red Bull relaunched their series at Toronto’s NXNE and their opener at Adelaide Hall flexed like it was 1994. Toronto’s ALLIE and DILLAN PONDERS checked doubters; KATE TEMPEST stunned as a “poet-rapper-playwright”; BISHOP NEHRU threw it way, way back with Nehruvia; and Timbaland’s hero TINK cruised through a multitude of hits (“Million”, “Ratchet Commandments”) just to prove the crown is hers. If you missed it, check out our gallery above via photographer Julia Marcello.
