With a kiss and a thud, the MAD DECENT BLOCK PARTY tour took over Toronto’s Fort York this past weekend and did what it does best: mesmerize. The annual trek has always been known to take over any venue or city of it’s choosing, but this year’s bill went for the “too original” look, showcasing the likes of TJR, WHAT SO NOT, JAUZ, THUGLI, XXYYXX, HRMXNY, and RIFF RAFF & CL. MAJOR LAZER closed with Diplo, Jillionaire, and Walshy Fire blazing through posi hits (“Get Free”, “Lean On”) and massive party starters (“Jungle Bae”, “Differentology”), and to be honest, it was a reminder of why summers should always end with a MDBP date.
