Photos: Years & Years, Tei Shi at Danforth Music Hall

Since earning the top vote in the BBC’s Sound Of 2015 poll, London’s YEARS & YEARS have sustained their momentum and clearly proved they deserve a seat next to the likes of Wolf Alice and The 1975. The trio of Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy, and Emre Türkmen have been touring pretty heavily and as a result, they recently launched their North American run with a concert at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall (September 14th) – blasting through Communion while even doing a cover of Blu Cantrell’s “Breathe”. Brooklyn art pop standout TEI SHI also opened with a short, but intimate set (see “Go Slow”, “See Me”) just to prove that music is indeed one of hell of a vice. Years & Years’ debut Communion is out now via Universal/Polydor – for similar shows, make sure to visit EmbracePresents.com
