Photos: Toronto Urban Roots Fest 2015

The TORONTO URBAN ROOTS FEST took place at Fort York earlier this month and despite facing stiff competition from other events, it excelled at being its “homegrown” self. The weekender’s move to September turned out to be the right choice as it featured an array of craft vendors and local brews that went hand-in-hand with sets from WILCO, PIXIES, OF MONSTERS AND MEN, NEKO CASE, THE AVETT BROTHERS, CHUCK RAGAN, LORD HURON, DESAPARECIDOS, HOP ALONG, NORTHCOTE, and WILL BUTLER. Photographer Marie Rupolo was at the festival for most of the weekend so check out her gallery above and visit Collective Concerts for a list of similar shows in the Toronto area.
