With her 21st birthday being just a few weeks away, NIYKEE HEATON recently took her #BedroomTour to Toronto with a sold-out concert at The Drake Hotel (November 21st). The Underground was a bit of an odd choice for her Complex-approved Internet pop, but despite the skepticism and unwavering spotlight, the Illinois native held her own. Her 15-song set flirted with hypnotic teasers (“King”, “Bad Intentions”) and R&B staples (i.e. dance routines, fan one-on-ones) which was enough to help her cap off a busy week and prove that she’s always game to finesse a crowd.
