All things considered, the members of WAVVES and BEST COAST are redefining what it means to be a role model. Despite being fairly busy with initiatives in Ghana and turning Ghost Ramp into a creative hub, the two bands still found the time to do a “Summer Is Forever II” tour, which recently made its way up north for a one-off at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall (February 22nd). In short, it absolutely ruled – Best Coast cruised through Crazy For You and California Nights, Nathan and Wavves riffed out some oldies (“Idiot”, “Post Acid”) and newbies (“My Head Hurts”), and L.A.’s CHERRY GLAZERR were in full “blue shell mode” as “White’s Not My Color This Evening” is a song that’s still capable of slapping you in the face.
