Need a new pop vice? Meet DUA LIPA. The 22-year-old has been playing by her own rules since The FADER’s 2016 film See In Blue and it’s clear that she’s headed straight for pop stardom. Her recent tour headliner at Toronto’s Rebel Nightclub (Nov. 22nd) was unsurprisingly perfect as her set put her debut album on blast — skrrting through viral smashes (“New Rules”), full-on duets (“Lost In Your Light”), and various underrated numbers (“Begging”, “IDGAF”) that have a way of being persuasively irresistible.
