You know why a group like Jimmy Eat World rarely disappears? It’s because it takes a lot of effort for them to die off. The Arizona quintet stopped in at the Kool Haus for a night most Canadian followers will never forget. Every melody and hook mimicked recordings as the band powered through the new (“My Best Theory”, “Movielike”) and the old (“Your New Aesthetic”, “Goodbye Sky Harbor”). The four-song encore featuring “The Middle” and “Sweetness” was enough to leave a satisfying taste in your mouth. As one fan put it: “why go see Jackass 3D when Jimmy Eat World is that much better?”.
