A Juno Award winner with quite the track record in the industry, LIGHTS has always been highlighted with a certain perspective thanks to unrestrained critics and their need to categorize. Luckily, touring and establishing that personal connection with her fans has allowed the 24-year-old to grow and expand as a musician in terms of creating material and experimenting. In the midst of releasing her second studio record, Lights discussed with us the obstacles that face young musicians battling the words “pop music” and how Siberia feels like new territory.
