With so many unofficial clips floating around for various tracks, it comes as no surprise that THE WEEKND would finally release a video with an “official” tag stapled to it. Shot by director Mikael Colombu (Cee Lo Green, Janelle Monae) with Nikon 95cm film, “The Knowing” is a complete polar opposite than the lustful hallucinations out there. In one way, the seven-minute project gives off a Super Nintendo video game intro-vibe. Plus, there’s aliens, abstract imagery and a New York model that accompanies Abel Tesfaye. We dare you to watch it sober.
