After announcing a new solo album late last year, Sonic Youth axeman LEE RANALDO has introduced the first cut from the anticipated LP with the track “Off The Wall”. Unlike an experimental tear into the unknown, the recording is more direct and takes a stereotyped rock turn, which if it is the theme for Between The Tides And Times, will weave nicely with album guests such as Steve Shelley and Wilco’s Nels Cline.
