Coming together as one of the summer’s most incredible lineups, SAM ROBERTS BAND, BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB and THE JEZABELS poured a smooth coating of various layers of rock onto a Thursday night at Toronto’s Echo Beach and the experience was mesmerizing. With the openers letting sharp edges of indie rock slip out of their guitars, drums and keys, Sam Roberts himself spearheaded a revolution of sorts as his group took the stage in the heat of the night. There was guts, there was glory, and most of all, there was a stunning set that never lost intimacy.
