Strike a chord and someone will listen. Play a song and time has a chance to stand still. As much as the first two days of OSHEAGA thrashed around with excitement, the Sunday brought the Canadian festival to an emphatic close despite a little bit of rain that turned the Montreal grounds into a muddy, Europe-like mess. Blending everyone’s favourite bands together – THE BLACK KEYS, BLOC PARTY, METRIC, PASSION PIT, TAME IMPALA and SANTIGOLD – seemed almost intimidating to say the least but as choruses rung with power and rhythms echoed across Parc Jean-Drapeau, it was nothing less than a captivating drop into the bottomless depth of music.
