GOING LIVE: Bruce Springsteen

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
ROGERS CENTRE, TORONTO / AUGUST 24TH

If there’s any rock star out there that can put a permanent smile on a 40,000-ish crowd on a Friday night, it’s undoubtedly BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. With the E-Street Band’s Wrecking Ball tour making a stop at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, the 62-year-old New Jersey-bred songwriter re-ignited his relevance with a striking portrayal of rock and roll stripped down to its bare voice. The three and a half hour set was surely not for the weak of heart but “The Boss” made it a thrilling state of being as he swayed through songs like “Hungry Heart”, “Wrecking Ball”, “Badlands” and “Born To Run” which had everyone hanging on to every single note until the lights finally dimmed.
