BLARE’s 5 BEST NEW ARTISTS (NOVEMBER 2012)

SAN CISCO

NOTES: Their appearance may scream youth – as it should since they’re still in their late teens – but the Aussie four-piece are building a tone of indie pop that’s colourful as it is indestructible. As they ricochet bright hooks full of colour, their originality and instrumentation gives them a likeness to a group such as Vampire Weekend, where their personality is enough to manipulate a standard to become a host to a range of influences and budding ingenuity. They won’t change indie for good but works like their debut EP for Fat Possum tear open the meaning of maturity.
