GAZA, CODE ORANGE KIDS
HARD LUCK BAR, TORONTO / NOVEMBER 19TH
A lot of words can describe CODE ORANGE KIDS – deafening, profound, massive and hell, even brutal, but their recent set in Toronto with Utah vipers GAZA proved that their music is altogether primal. Their enraged presence is still a knee-bashing experience (Love Is Love // Return To Dust will scratch your eyeballs with euphoria) and it was enough to compliment a night where the other quartet’s 6’7″ Jon Parkin exposed the most daunting figure in noise hardcore. Statures aside, the Hard Luck Bar got its fill of shrapnel-like punk that’s still happily lodged in a few heads.
