Take everything you know about ANGEL OLSEN and throw it out the window. Her debut Half Way Home swayed in the wind with acoustic sounds and her latest cut, “Forgiven/Forgotten”, kicks up a gritty, teeth-bearing blast of distortion that feels like it belonged in the ’70s. It also has a burning similarity to a few Manchester Orchestra tunes and that’s because Olsen sounds like she’s trying to stomp on your heart. Do yourself a favour and pre-order her LP.
