If 2013 needed anything, it’d be a new ST. VINCENT record. Fortunately, Annie Clark’s follow-up to Strange Mercy is scheduled for a February release and the first cut from the 11-track self-titled LP happens to be “Birth In Reverse” (see below). It’s a rip-roaring indie rocker and according to Clark, was demoed and recorded in the state of Texas and is a preview of “a party record you play at a funeral”. If you like what you hear, make sure to pre-order it on vinyl.
