Indie folkers have always found it difficult to stay put under the spotlight but THE HEAD AND THE HEART have been able to find a way around it. In fact, some would say they’ve created their own. The Seattle outfit graced the Kool Haus on Sunday (March 30th) and alongside BASIA BULAT (a treasure for Joanna Newsom fans), they played through their two records, syncing a balance of old and new, delicate and loud, and joy and loneliness. It was a treat for anyone who needed to escape Toronto’s temporary northwest vibes and it wound up being a smooth transition into a new season.
