Though South By Southwest usually starts with no end in sight, there’s always a tear-worthy conclusion that marks the end of a week that was. Saturday (March 15th) was indeed that day as it couldn’t have been more of a poster child for day parties and the sweaty rush of adrenaline that follows. Wait lists and foot cramps aside, The FADER Fort demoed the popular crowd (JULIAN CASABLANCAS, TRAVI$ SCOTT, MIGOS), The COMPLEX House stacked bars (CAM’RON, PUSHA T, YOUNG THUG), Thrasher Deathmatch offered painkillers (LIL B, PERFECT PUSSY, A$AP MOB), and Check Yo Ponytail’s annual SXSW Bonanza (TRASH TALK, DUM DUM GIRLS) inevitably became a blur. Unknown to most, that was just the tip of the iceberg for the day’s events and in between carnitas and mason jar bevs, we did our best to take it all in – or at least find some solace during WASHED OUT’s festival closer.
