Going Live: Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots-1We’re pretty obsessed with TWENTY ONE PILOTS. You won’t see any of us tearing up in the front row, singing along to every word of  “Migraine” (okay, maybe some of us) but the duo from Columbus, Ohio, put on a tremendous live show – night in and night out. On Monday (April 21st), they stopped by The Opera House in Toronto and after opening sets by Hunter Hunted and NONONO, the twosome served up a performance that re-traced their Vessel and Regional At Best LPs with force. Drum fills echoed, synths shimmered, and fans shrieked, but Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun’s collective volume reached “commit this to memory” heights, ringing with the sort of unfiltered tenacity you’d expect from The Black Keys or The White Stripes. That truth is a pretty solid reason as to why you need to at least see Twenty One Pilots perform once (or thrice). For more proof, check out our photos below via Jen Schenkel.
