On a stacked Friday night (May 9th) that also featured City And Colour and Neko Case, Brooklyn notables WOODS held their own at The Great Hall through a profound set that felt snug on the ears. Mexican Summer’s QUILT also provided support and both bands – in their laid-back, indie folk way – destroyed. The groups meshed together at the Queen West spot and flipped through heartbreakers, recreating the dense intimacy of their new LPs while basically teaching a class on compositions.
