Think about it: HANK WOOD & THE HAMMERHEADS and DESTRUCTION UNIT doing a basement show. It’s unheard of if you don’t live on the West Coast and thrive on Blundertown and all-day nachos, but a few locals have been patiently grooming Toronto’s S.H.I.B.G.B.’s into one of the best low-key venues in the city. The DIY spot lives on Geary Avenue next to a few bike shops, a costume emporium, and Rehearsal Factory, so it’s not too weird for a bunch of New York punks and Arizona psych dudes to set up and let noise fly. We didn’t find out about the weekender (May 25th) until super last minute (thanks Last.fm, you’re the best) but Amanda Fotes popped in and captured a few stills to show why DIY wins at everything. Check out her sets below.
Stuck In The City // Not Dead Yet have a few more shows coming up – including Pharmakon, Merchandise, and Cro-Mags – so go visit their website.
