Even after all this time, Vans Warped Tour is still alive and kicking. It’s a fact that will without a doubt make any Midtown or Bad Religion fan shudder but the touring festival is still a haven for mid-day punk, chugging Monster Energy Drink like it’s apple juice, and getting Warped. This year’s edition features a total of 42 dates and more so than previous years, it has used its resources to put the spotlight on a diverse collection of younger bands – including Stray From The Path, Plague Vendor, A Lot Like Birds, K.Flay, Real Friends, PVRIS, Sleeper Agent, and This Wild Life. Place them next to a few Warped Tour heavyweights (Every Time I Die, The Devil Wears Prada) and hardcore darlings (Finch, Terror), and you have a take on summer that’s bound to have you throwing cash at merch tents or digging up your old Punk-O-Rama compilations. It all depends on your age of course, but there’s no restriction on how old you have to be to casually “lose your shit”. If you need proof, take a peek at our stills of this year’s date at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre.
