There’s a multitude of things that define Vans Warped Tour – like inexplicable sunburns, detached parents, neon, old Vans kicks, more neon, super tweens, and greasy yet overpriced pizza. But the most overlooked aspect of punk’s summer getaway is the camaraderie. The mutual friendships and loyalty solidify Warped Tour’s foundation because it wouldn’t be 20-years-old if the super nice publicists and crew members didn’t exist. The festival’s stop at Toronto’s The Flats at Molson Amphitheatre (July 4th) did feature a large helping of must-see veterans and noisemakers, but it also showcased musicians that were willing to sacrifice one of the biggest American holidays of the year to connect with some of the best band-friendly crowds. Acts like Four Year Strong, The Story So Far, Bayside, and Yellowcard got a first-hand look at their “real” fans and the experiences collided to create one of the best Warped Tours Canada has seen in years. Trust us – there wasn’t a cloud in sight. Check out our second set of galleries below and get Warped.
Summer has just begun as Vans Warped Tour still has dates in Hartford, Auburn Hills, Orlando, Nashville, and Denver (click here for the full list).
