Photos: Constantines at Danforth Music Hall

Constantines-1Never give up on the Cons. Even though they riffed through a handful of summer festivals, CONSTANTINES made their way back to the 416 to perform a pair of shows at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. Thursday night (October 2nd) presented an array of questions but as soon as the Guelph five-piece hit the stage post-COUSINS, the east end theatre imploded and an extensive playlist was unleashed. 2003’s Shine A Light was clearly the core of the group’s set yet vocalist Bryan Webb & co. tore through everything – digging up Kensington Heights, Constantines, and Tournament Of Hearts, while even starting an encore on point (“Little Instruments”) and ending it with a cover of Lou Reed’s “Temporary Thing”. Photographer Amanda Fotes was onsite and you can check out her live stills below.
