Just six shows into their North American tour run, CoS darlings THE DISTRICTS visited Toronto for a quick headlining set and guess what? It ruled (and in more than one way). The Pennsylvania four-piece turned The Horseshoe Tavern on its head with their shapeshifting, garage rock poeticism and did so with an impressive showcase of their new record and how songs such as “Hounds”, “Young Blood”, and “4th And Roebling” carry so much more oomph in-person. New Jersey’s PINE BARONS opened with their take on alt-folk and for visuals, you can go through Julia Marcello’s photos above.
The Districts’ new 10-track effort A Flourish And A Spoil is out now on CD/LP/MP3 via Fat Possum Records
