Remember BBNG I? The 2011 LP is pretty much a relic at this point because if you fast forward to the present, it’s easy to see BADBADNOTGOOD are a far cry from their former selves. This past Thursday (February 19th), the trio rocked a Converse Rubber Tracks Live set – perhaps their biggest show since their Mad Decent Block Party takeover in 2012 – and they did so alongside GHOSTFACE KILLAH, using Toronto’s Opera House as a platform for ODB eulogies, Nas covers, Flying Lotus reworks, and all things Sour Soul. The collective (plus Leland Whitty) even peace’d out with a salute to Wu history, so if you missed out on watching a bunch of vanilla kids lose it to “C.R.E.A.M.”, you might want to dig through Riley Taylor’s photo set above.
BadBadNotGood and Ghostface Killah’s collab album Sour Soul will be out on CD/LP/cassette on February 24th through Lex Records
