Despite the indecisive weather and nightmarish ferry crossings, BESTIVAL TORONTO wasn’t a total mess. In fact, it was the complete opposite. The inaugural take on the English festival attracted its fair share of trendsters on Friday (June 12th) and it treated everyone to a customized experience at Hanlan’s Point – letting loose with costumes, set pieces, and a whole lot of Budweiser. In terms of music, the first half of Bestival’s lineup rarely let up with FLORENCE + THE MACHINE and FLOSSTRADAMUS topping off a day that featured JAMIE XX, WAVVES, GRANDTHEFT, TEI SHI, HRMXNY, ROBERT DELONG, and CHARLOTTE OC.
