Here’s a tip: things could always be worse. The Saturday edition of PITCHFORK FEST ran into a few hiccups as a torrential downpour nearly cancelled the entire day and yet despite the “everyone must leave” intermission, the show went on. Organizers hit the reset the button at 4:20 p.m. and in a matter of minutes, the festival was back on track and ready to revive Chicago’s Union Park. It unfortunately took a hit with SOPHIE and VINCE STAPLES being no-shows (thanks Delta Airlines), but the likes of SLEATER-KINNEY, VIC MENSA, BULLY, and PARQUET COURTS held their own. A$AP FERG was also a clear highlight and solely because he flipped #P4Kfest onto its head and turned it into a chaotic, trash-surfing rap show. All in all, Saturday kept everyone on their heels and you can check out some of our photos above (via Victoria Sanders).
