When it comes to her live shows, TINASHE is methodical and ruthless. The L.A.-based singer/songwriter recently brought her Joyride tour to Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre (March 4th) and it was a far cry from “Netflix and chill” as her set dizzied with lights, backup dancers, and a heady dose of hits (“Party Favors”, “Ride Of Your Life”). The iHeartRadio vibes certainly overshadow Tinashe’s days as a bedroom producer, but as Jake Kivanc’s gallery shows, she’s clearly inching towards that Janet & Madge level (and on her own terms).
